A little about me.
I became interested in photography as a child, having been given a Kodak Brownie box camera at age 8, and then learning to process my own black and white negative film.
After getting married, I built a darkroom in my house. In 1999, my wife and I immigrated to New Zealand. I was unable to set up a darkroom so began dabbling with digital. I bought my first point and shoot digital camera in 2002 but became frustrated with the limitations and quality of the images produced with that camera and soon after acquired a Digital SLR. I used both film and digital media until converting fully to digital in 2003.
I have a diploma in digital photography from The Photography Institute in Australia and Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill.
In 2005 I was awarded the Licentiateship of Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) . In 2014 I was awarded an Associateship of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (APSNZ). I am an active member of photographic clubs and societies. I enjoy shooting people.
I am available to do family groups, portfolios, portraits, performing arts, events and weddings.
I have work published in international magazines.
